NOP is a solo project of Jérôme Montagne (FR). He plays with feedback on a no-input mixing-board to perform an audio-visual improvisation. An additional laptop (with personal program) is use to generate low-fi music visualization. Strongly inspired by the avant-garde filmmakers (Oskar Fischinger, Peter Kubelka..) and experimental electronic music (editions Mego, Pan sonic…), Jérôme mixes frequencies, white noise and binary rhythms to obtain a singular abstract form. The machine is now able to reveal its secret sounds in an electric strain climate.
