\"Sanatorium<\/p>\n

Sanatorium of Sound is a festival dedicated to experimental and improvised music as well as broadly defined sound art, held in Soko?owsko. The main idea is to present as complete range of phenomena as possible, associated with the development of musical forms of XX and XXI century, while maintaining a balance between the traditions of musical experiment, developed in recent decades, and new tendencies, yet unstructured.<\/p>\n

In order to bring the evolutionary processes of the experimental music to the audience, artists of middle and younger generations, representing the most important artistic centers in Europe, are invited to participate in the event. Concerts of Axel Dorner, Burkhard Beins, Michael Renkel, Magda Mayas and Tony Buck (Australian drummer for years living in Berlin) will be a great opportunity to learn about the latest developments emerging in Germany; Noid, Matija Schellander and Klaus Filip will introduce the Austrian scene, while the French one will be introduced by J\u00e9r\u00f4me Noetinger, Tomoko Sauvage, Marc Baron and Kasper T. Toeplitz. We will welcome masters of free jazz from Scandinavia – Lotte Anker, Raymond Strid and Per Zanussi; Portuguese drummer Gabriel Ferrandini – best known as a member of the Red Trio; a radical Swiss composer, conceptualist – Manfred Werder, one of the key figures associated with the group Wandelweiser. A separate priority is to promote Polish musicians, hence the presence of the most important domestic artists: Robert Piotrowicz, Piotr Damasiewicz, Gerard Lebik, Krzysztof Topolski and Patryk Lichota.<\/p>\n
