Radical dB Festival announces the 2nd international competition of sound art performance that will take place in Zaragoza, Spain on 24th-25th of September 2015.<\/p>\n

PRIZE per category :\u00a0<\/strong>400 euros and monografic \u00e1lbum in digital edition.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The purposes of the competition are:<\/p>\n

? To encourage emulation and exchange between international artists and local artists working in different fields of sound art performance (improvisation, live coding, circuit bending, electroacoustic performance etc\u2026)<\/p>\n

? To encourage innovation and experimentation in the field of sonic performance in relation with technology (digital or analogue, hi- or low-fi)<\/p>\n

Categories:<\/p>\n

A International audio artist<\/p>\n

B International audio-video artist<\/p>\n

C Local artist\u00a0(to submit as local artist, you should live or must be born in Aragon, Spain; all other artists should submit as International\/National artists)<\/p>\n

RULES<\/p>\n

Participants:<\/p>\n

? The competition is open to any artist\/ensemble working in the field of live performance with priority to sound (the performance may include video if needed).<\/p>\n

? To submit as local artist, you should live or must be born in Aragon (Spain), all other artists should submit as International artists.<\/p>\n

Conditions:<\/p>\n

? The organizers of the festival will select 3 artists finalists in category A, 3 in category B, and 2 in category C.<\/p>\n

? The competition concerts, included in the Radical dB festival will present all the finalists for each category. Selected artists will present a set of 20 minutes maximum.<\/p>\n

? Each participant must send a mail to info@radicaldb.es with .zip file including a link to a video of a live performance, a link to the webpage of the artist\/ensemble, a bio and a short description of the project and the category (A B or C). The zip file must be named : name_of_the_artist.zip<\/p>\n

? The competition will provide a stereo PA system and will not accept multichannel project. Ensembles shall provide their own mixing system in order to send a stereo signal to the main control.<\/p>\n

? The festival will provide accommodation for all the duration of the contest but will not support travel.<\/p>\n

? The jury will be composed by internationally recognized artists and curators. The jury will award one artist\/ensemble in each category.\u00a0The decision shall be final. The jury will announce the results during the Radical dB Festival.<\/p>\n

Prize :<\/p>\n

? The winning artists in each category will receive 400 euros ( to be shared in case of an ensemble)<\/p>\n

? Digital edition of a monografic \u00e1lbum on\u00a0Naucleshg<\/em>.com for all winners and finalists.<\/p>\n

? Interviews and radio broadcasting for all selected finalists on local and national radios.<\/p>\n

Dates:<\/p>\n

? Submission deadline :\u00a0 15th of june 2015<\/p>\n

? Selected artists that will perform on the competition concerts will be announced at the end of june 2015.<\/p>\n

? The competition will take place at Etopia Center for Art and Tecnology, Zaragoza, Spain on 24th and 25th of September 2015<\/p>\n

? Each submission of an application for the competition implies the acceptance of all the rules.<\/p>\n

? Any questions regarding these regulations and their interpretation shall be clarified by Radical dB\u00a0 team.<\/p>\n
