It is an experimental centre comprising the fields of creation and research in electroacoustic music.? Currently directed by Isabel Soveral, in 2014 the CIME launched the communication platform &#8216;Electroacoustic Winds&#8217;, seeking to disseminate the work developed in this studio and to establish relationships with international partners.<\/p>\n<p>The conference &#8216;Electroacoustic Winds 2015&#8217; (EAW 2015), which also includes training activities, is organized by the CIME and the Institute for Ethnomusicology &#8211; Research Centre for Music and Dance (INET-MD). This conference is complemented by a series of concerts and other activities organised in collaboration with\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/artenotempo.pt\/en\/\">Arte no Tempo<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>EAW 2015 highlights the special participation of the American composers Daria Semegen (1946) and John Chowning (1934) and the French composer Jean-Claude Risset (1938). Besides the conference, the event also includes a set of workshops for musicians and sound engineers.
