\"Concours<\/a><\/p>\n

MusInfo<\/a>\u00a0is pleased to announce the second edition of the\u00a0International composition contest for acoustic instrument and electroacoustic device<\/a>. With this initiative\u00a0MusInfo<\/i>\u00a0proposes to open a new space intended to uphold the work of contemporary composers and sound artists in the field of \u201clive-electronic\u201d music.<\/p>\n

Composers are invited to write a short study of 2 to 4 minutes maximum. The electroacoustic device is represented by the software P-Soft that\u00a0MusInfo<\/i>\u00a0supplies on its web page. The composers whose studies are chosen will receive\u00a0a commission from the\u00a0Opus Centrum<\/i>\u00a0ensemble who collaborates with\u00a0MusInfo<\/i>. They will be invited to write a full length composition that will be played and recorded next year.<\/p>\n

The electroacoustic device will be supplied to composers by\u00a0MusInfo<\/i>\u00a0for the period of composition.\u00a0<\/b>This year the studies may be written for the following instruments:\u00a0violin, saxophone, clarinet<\/i>.<\/p>\n

Participation requirements:<\/b><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. The contest is open\u00a0from February 15th until April 30th 2015<\/b>.<\/li>\n
  2. The call is open to\u00a0composers of any age<\/b>.<\/li>\n
  3. There are no fees for inscription.<\/b><\/li>\n
  4. The contest is open to any\u00a0short study (from 2 to 4 min long) written for P-Soft and an acoustic solo instrument<\/b>\u00a0(violin, saxophone or clarinet).\u00a0No other software or audio files may be used<\/b>.<\/li>\n
  5. The software needed to participate in the contest is available for download at the following address:\u00a0Software and Manual<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  6. Examples of scores for the device and help concerning the composing process are available at the same address.<\/li>\n
  7. The composers can\u00a0send<\/b>
    \n\u2022 the\u00a0software \u201cbank\u201d file<\/b>
    \n\u2022 the\u00a0instrument score in PDF format
    \n<\/b>\u2022 the\u00a0participant information<\/b>\u00a0(name & address)

  8. The\u00a0files must be marked with the title of the work and the name of the author<\/b>.<\/li>\n
  9. The works will be presented to the jury\u00a0anonymously<\/b>.<\/li>\n
  10. If the composer wishes to send a recording of his work, he should do it by using WeTransfer:\u00a0https:\/\/www.wetransfer.com\/<\/a><\/li>\n
  11. The international jury will nominate the winners of the contest on\u00a0June 2nd\u00a0 2015 in Bourges\u00a0<\/b>during the\u00a0Art & Science Days<\/i>.<\/li>\n
  12. The jury can decide not to nominate any winner.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Prize:<\/b><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. The winners\u2019\u00a0studies will be interpreted\u00a0<\/b>during the\u00a0Art & Science Days<\/i>\u00a02015\u00a0<\/b>in Bourges.<\/li>\n
    2. The\u00a0winners will receive the electroacoustic device conceived by MusInfo\u00a0<\/b>at their home for a period of 2 to 3 months in order to write their new composition.<\/li>\n
    3. The\u00a0new composition will be created\u00a0<\/b>during the\u00a0Art & Science Days<\/i>\u00a02016 by the\u00a0Opus Centrum\u00a0<\/i>ensemble.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
