Generic is a project by Iris Light label owner Adam Sykes. Using manipulated, processed and deconstructed “FOLEY” Tracks, “Sound FX” (both for use in films and tv programmes) with occassional guitars, bass, and found sound to create music from drone, ambience and noise, with a mechanical edge to it.

This was said about the Generic album ‘Torture’ – Almost an admission that he’s not trying to reinvent the wheel, Generic aka Adam Sykes’ choice of band name is apt, given that there are literally thousands of identikit dark ambient / industrial outfits out there. But within the strange cold world of today’s industrial music where drone, machine sounds, unsettling noises and generally terrifying ambience are de rigueur, it’s less about variety and more about whether the artist manages to capture these moods successfully.

Een kerst kado..van Bas van Huizen op Lomechanik . De Gewelfsterver EP. Bas is een oude bekende van Lomechanik. Hij bracht al eerder werk uit op de dubbel CD Ruis voor Thuis en Iets met Biets en op de Lomechanik Luisterclub (ook een verzamelaar). Bas van Huizen heeft zijn eigen label gemaand Ethetkreet waar hij soundscapes, electro akoestische muziek, ambient en noise op uitbrengt van artiesten als Erza Jacobs, Richard Jonas en uiteraard ook muziek van hem zelf. De Gewelfsterver EP telt 4 tracks met ruim 37 minuten muziek. Muziek die naar ons idee prima past bij deze donkere dagen…

Phillipe Lamy album is a series of five concret, slightly ambiant music pieces which bring us into noizes, recording and blurred tonal movements. Built with an amazing fluidity and a peculiar attention the sound from “Histoire Naturelles” use a lot of divers sources for the pleasure of the ears.
Amplified objects, voices, breath, planing pad, overdrive, machine noises, depht basses, field recording, piano, feedback… are the colours meticulously choose by the french artist for tell us some surprising stories.

THAM DUO : Anton Mobin et Thomas Thiery improvisent une musique évoquant le travail des premiers musiciens futuristes, un étrange mélange de nostalgie d’expériences quotidiennes et de désintégration du langage en microparticules sonores, Anton faisant siffler et hurler des objets de récupération, Thomas s’enfonçant de plus en plus profondément dans son univers de nerd fait d’objets sonores non identifiés .
THAM DUO : Anton Mobin and Thomas Thiery improvise a music which evoke the work of early futurist musicians, a strange mixture of nostalgic experiences of everyday life and disintegration of language in sound clusters, Anton making his flea market object whistle and scream, Thomas going deeper and deeper in his nerd’s universe of unidentified sonic objects.
