This is a collection of tracks that were made around the time of the Dead Pilot Records full length ‘Sleep Paralysis’ – a couple that didn’t make the final album and a few alternative versions. Since they have been sitting around gathering digital dust, and will never turn into anything else, I offer them free to download.
The last track ‘Sleep (Minimal)’ is almost the same as the opening track from ‘Sleep Paralysis’ but comprises of only the base drone over which the additional elements are layered. Feel free to use this as a platform for your own jams, manipulations or for any other purpose. It would be interesting to see what people can get out of such a sparse, relatively still sound.
At long last it is finaly here; the successor of no-r-mal the first edition. Almost a year later down the line, but highly improved and filled with more goodies. Started on April 25th I would never have thought that this would grow as big as it did. Many bulkloads of work went into getting this compilation album out there, but it is out there now!
71 artists, 71 tracks have turned into a 6 CD!!! compilation album making for over 7 hours of listening pleasure. Today I give this to the world so that you may enjoy the sounds of some of the worlds great netlabel artists that all work somewhere in the field of experimental music. The third second releaser comes from Brighton, UK. Paul Nadin, or better known as Voder has previously released his most beautiful album ‘Island’ on the fantastic Distance Recordings netlabel.
Where before he used the recordings of a visit to Iceland to create an aural description of the various locations which he visited and made field recordings of, this time he takes us to the fields. Which fields as of yet are unknown, but I think in all of us slumbers that hidden field of our youth that this music so well captures. Take a trip down memorylane and join in on this 6-track album of pure joy.

Bassist Simon H Fell is here wearing his improviser’s hat, and working in small and large groupings. The trio is amere3, himself, Rob Dainton (drums) and Phil Hargreaves (saxes/flute). The large grouping is the Infinite Monkey Orchestra (because if you gave them enough time they’d play the andante from Brandenburg 4) – a flexible line-up of people involved in the Liverpool Gathering. Simon H Fell formed Bruce’s Fingers record label in 1983 and has documented both long-term associations and less permanent and informal playing situations, along with a series of improvisation-related compositions.

Generic is a project by Iris Light label owner Adam Sykes. Using manipulated, processed and deconstructed “FOLEY” Tracks, “Sound FX” (both for use in films and tv programmes) with occassional guitars, bass, and found sound to create music from drone, ambience and noise, with a mechanical edge to it.
This was said about the Generic album ‘Torture’ – Almost an admission that he’s not trying to reinvent the wheel, Generic aka Adam Sykes’ choice of band name is apt, given that there are literally thousands of identikit dark ambient / industrial outfits out there. But within the strange cold world of today’s industrial music where drone, machine sounds, unsettling noises and generally terrifying ambience are de rigueur, it’s less about variety and more about whether the artist manages to capture these moods successfully.
We strongly believe in the creativity of the people, as we know that the Network has given us a unique opportunity to develop and express ourselves. Do not let the social and cultural emancipation be held hostages bythe profit, become an active part and show that we want to be leaders of our future.

“Alien Tongue” presents two live performances by Emerald Adrift. The first piece, “Hatchling,” was recorded during a live broadcast on the StillStream internet radio station on November 1, 2008. “Abandoned Amusement Park (Gone To Weeds)” was another live StillStream performance, broadcast on March 14, 2009.
