“Purification” by С1-117 is a piece of old good industrial and classic dark ambient. The man behind the project defines Maeror Tri и Lustmord as his key points but their creativities are just guidelines for С1-117 but not examples for imitation.
Based on noises of various nature, this work looks like cold and lifeless sound canvas composed of rustles, cracks, processed field recordings, weird voice samples.
“unto unknown – where am i? am i dead? where this path leads? what is on the end of the road? all things seems blurry i don’t remember much… but i know i must not stop…must open my eyes!”– Adam Stalker, 2010. These four excellent dark ambient tracks appear in the new film, “LA Zombie”, directed by the famous Bruce LaBruce.

Profesionally he works in muliti-media IT industry and as a freelance composer making soundtracks for computer games (ambient music in Painkiller – 2004), spots for radio and intro’s/outro’s sound designer for metal bands (Yattering – 1999, Infernal War – 2004 and 2006).
«psq M.O.S. is the pseudonym of a polish musician who for the first time presents his work here at test tube, under the alias ‘Project : N.A.’.
The two tracker ‘Insomnia/Abyss II’ invests greatly in deep and dark ambient over the course of its nearly 23 minutes. ‘Insomnia’ is more into the ‘dark side’ of sleeping disorders, or at least the first half is, while ‘Abyss II’ – as the name suggests – has a more deep and submersive character, I mean, most of it sounds like field recordings taken from the undercurrents of the ocean bed. The last part of this track, on the other hand, sounds like as if the submarine trip ended up in another world or another dimension.
Great stuff to listen to in the comfort of the night with a nice pair of headphones while watching underwater life documentaries.» – Pedro Leitão
NARCOLAPSE 2010 is the electromorphing result of original musique-concrète-recordings developed by Siegmar Fricke between 1981 and 1985; these recordings contained sources like shortwave-radio-signals, electroacoustic material and piano-treatments. After an intense archive-research in between April and June 2010 these recordings have been assembled, dehissed and optimized in frequency response. Resulting from the remastering-process of those recordings, a new complex intermodulatory texture has been created: The six narcotic sound-pools of NARCOLAPSE 2010 unify for the first time different musique-concrète basics by SF; completely re-arranged, filtered and combined with new electromodulated recordings.
These tracks were Noise Research’s contribution to a duo project a few years ago. On relistening they stand well as solo pieces hence, their release now.
