Webbed Hand Records presents another release of a multimedia project composed by Italian avante-garde sound artist Marco Lucchi.

Here is Marco Lucchi’s introduction:

some perfect curtains is a sort of anthology of my latest work

it shows my love for the audio scores (no only the music) of films

they are kind of movies without images (well, sometimes with images…)

and they are some very acousmatic works

they are ending or opening titles of imaginary films too

and they “promote” me as a composer of music for films to come

at the same time they lead towards another project i’m going to start

this project shall be a cover project

and will feature an ensemble playing a repertory of ambient, experimental,

non-academic contemporary music

the curtains remind me of the pythagoric and orphic attitude to sound, music and imagination

and to the matching mole’s visions by robert wyatt

1.Pulsus Repulsus

(Info) Pulsus, Repulsus was developed from improvisations with two synthesizers and various CD players. At first I conceived each sound or patch“ programmed in the synthesizers (or recorded on the CDs) as a microcomposition destined to be combined with the others, in a process of free mixture that is the central nucleus of my live actions. The periodic repetition of these improvisations during various months gave as a result a form stereotyped to interpret my compositions, originating a macrocomposition that in December of 2.005 I recorded and subsequently called Pulsus, Repulsus.

Synthetic sounds that imitate to the sounds of the nature; resounding masses of frequencies that imitate to the machines; loops of notes that generate a static and minimalist music; all organized in a narrative structure that functions like a words despoiled creationist poem.

Recorded on December 15th, 2005. Mixed and mastered on March 2006 in Vigo

After a few gigs, Eric Pailh (tenor saxophone, electronics) and Johann Bourquenez (piano, electronics) recorded in January 2004 their first Tln 5 album, “The Fissback Voyage” and created a new personnal soundscape between free music and electronic music. Instead of producing it on a cd, they prefered to release it for free on internet. In August 2004, eDogm netlabel is on line and propose to download “The Fissback Voyage” for free. Then, since August 2005, Tln 5 began to look for saxophone and piano gigs, free forms and totally improvised concerts with no set list, no electronic stuff, to express the intensity of the moment that’s happening.

“magnetic meeting, desire of a free expression, interaction, intensity and fluctuation of the energy level, breaths, quiverings, cracklings, bearings, masses, crash, chaos, between free jazz and electroacoustic approach. Hidden rage, somewhat disillusioned feeling in glance of a society whose future leaves us dubitative. Impregnated urban context, the sound matter builds, becomes deformed, tears off influence of the reason, implose and becomes again the dream which is spread out behind our eyelids ”

diatribes, a strongly libertarian trio, began its existence in a Geneva basement in Winter 2004. Their idea was to mix three distinct types of sound (electronic, wind and percussion), in order to develop a malleable musical mass. The saxophone and drums merge into each other in a primary dance, where construction and deconstruction coexist, and envy and disgust unite. There are no limits to their sound, where rhythms, melodies and noise meet sporadically, merging into each other until they are almost forgotten. Free jazz in its approach, acoustic and electronic in its execution, the trio is capable of exploring the minute like the intense. Their relationship with the public is intimate and profound. Dreams and fears become noise and silence?

Building upon the basis of the trio, diatribes is also polymorphous, extending its spectrum to other musicians such as the guitarist Christian Graf, the electroacoustician Nicolas Sordet, the pianist Johann Bourquenez and the saxophonist Christophe Berthet.

Proyecto original con exigentes marcos rtmicos asimtricos (de ahi el nombre del grupo) esbozados con belleza a travs de una elaboracin (alejada) de ideas previas. Sin embargo, la contribucin de los msicos (exquisitez de bajo elctrico y lo original de los vientos) y la esttica del conjunto hace que el album realmente despegue.

The man behind Moxuse is Koichiro Mori. He comes from Saitama in Japan. he studies software art in Tokya and on his spare time he creates some really beatiful sounds using his laptop. I guess you could call the music ambient, or electronica if you’d like. The songs are based around glitchy rythms that stutters forward accompanied by some simple melodies, sometimes field recordings is added to the mix. Loop 2.4.3 is an original music group that consists of a percussion duo at its core, augmented by a tight knit line-up of virtuosic collaborators. Piano, cello, flute, trumpet, spoken word/poetry, and electronics experts are all on the group’s expanded roster. Fluent in a wide range of musical and performance environments, Loop 2.4.3 often expands into the realm of musical theatricality, and transforms the capabilities of a percussion ensemble by performing their own works alongside everything from Bach and Faure to Crumb, Tan-Dun, Stockhausen, and Radiohead. They perform internationally at concert halls, clubs, festivals, lofts, squats, green spaces, and arts/educational facilities.
