A single string conducting a series of encounters with various improvisers in a live setting. Sharing the common thread of pedal string guitar ?its dual nature exploited acording to context- the acoustic environments are predominantly concerned with the ebb and flow of interactive tensions while the electroacoustic medium gives way to richer textures.

Una nica cuerda vincula una serie de encuentros con diversos improvisadores en un marco en directo. Compartiendo el hilo conductor de la pedal string guitar ?su naturaleza dual se explota segn el el contexto- los entornos acsticos se centran fundamentalmente en el flujo y reflujo de las tensiones interactivas, mientras que el medio electroacstico da lugar a texturas ms ricas.

A multidisciplinary project bringing together street corner poetics, speech rhythms, script-like fiction (if only too real), performance… Broadly understood libretto for an experimental opera where the tonal content and rhythmic character of the spoken word provides the loom where music and lyrics are woven together in static fluxes, drone-like, modal minimalism hinting a oriental influence and reflecting on narrative, transient authorship and human condition.

Proyecto multidisciplinar que ana la potica de la calle, los ritmos del habla, ficciones de tipo guin (aunque de lo ms real), performance… un libreto, entendido en sentido amplio, para una pera experimental donde el contenido tonal y el carcter rtmico de la palabra hablada plantean el telar en el que se hilvanan la msica y las letras en flujos estticos, de tipo pedal, minimalismo modal que apunta una influencia oriental, reflexionando sobre la narracin, lo impermanente de la autora y la condicin humana.

Featuring sharply defined and coloured forms ?whether improvised or contemporary- instrumental or concrete materials are multiplied and transformed by means of electronic mirrors, fascinated by the transient arrival at patterns, their eventual collapsing, illustrating a cubist reflection on the relation between code and referent.

Planteamiento caleidoscpico de un do. Mediante formas de fuerte perfil y color, -ya sean improvisadas o contemporneas- los materiales instrumentales o concretos son multiplicados y transformados mediante espejos electrnicos, fascinados por la transitoria aparicin de patrones, o su eventual desvanecimiento, ilustrando una reflexin cubista sobre la relacin entre cdigo y referente.

Plastic: An apparent duality, contrasting the synthetic nature of the processes and transforming familiar substances into striking phenomena, gives birth to a carefully crafted sonic world. Processing is divorced from compositional usage, simplicity devoid of naivety. Interaction turns listening to a conversation where abstract materials become the instruments of a shared experimental aesthetics, abounding in sound space negotiation (almost installative) and inclined to static, horizontal forms.

Metal : Sharply defined forms ?peripheral harmonic partials- stand out against dark backgrounds, recalling the huge vastness of desserted outter space. Their massive scale causes us to perceive the slightly curved extremes of their horizons, slowly drifting bodies whose subtle reference evokes the materials? cold hard textures and yet refuses to reveal them: not until we have emerged from its flowing waters. Plastic : Una aparente dualidad, que contrasta la naturaleza sinttica de los procesos y transforma las sustancias conocidas en fenmenos sorprendentes, da lugar a un mundo sonoro de cuidadosa factura. El procesaso est divorciado del uso compositivo, la simplicidad desprovista de ingenuidad. La interaccin transforma la escucha en una conversacin donde los materiales abstractos se convierten en instrumentos de una esttica experimental compartida, que abunda en negociacin del espacio sonoro (casi instalativo) y se inclina por formas estticas, horizontales.

Metal: Formas claramente definidas ?parciales armnicos perifricos- destacan sobre fondos oscuros, recordando la enorme inmensidad abandonada del espacio exterior. Su enorme escala nos hace percibir los extremos ligeramente curvados de sus horizontes, cuerpos en lenta deriva cuya sutileza referencial evoca la fra dureza de los materiales aunque se resiste a revelarlos, callando en tanto no hayamos emergido de sus aguas.

In front of a series of snapshots, we are invited to partake in a walk, visit a series of highly evocative settings, with alternating hints to overtly traditional registers and the occasional local colour note. And much as familiar walkers, versed in each other?s ways, harmony and rhythm often fall into the same pace, their strides and conversation naturally responding to a single impulse.

Como ante una serie de instantneas, invitados a participar de un paseo, visitamos una serie de lugares evocadores, alternando los guios a registros claramente tradicionales con la ocasional nota de color local. Y al igual que paseantes conocidos, sabedores de las maneras del otro, la armona y el ritmo a menudo avanzan a un mismo paso, las zancadas y la conversacin responden de forma natural a un mismo impulso.

A trio release of a marked textural outlook: close observation of sound components, with all manner of acoustic objects and instrumental close-ups. Grouped according to chromatic criteria, instrumental sounds are featured along various acoustic noise sources, illustrating a shared research ethos and inclined towards horizontal forms.

Trabajo en tro de marcado corte textural: observacin prxima de componentes sonoros, con toda suerte de objetos acsticos y retratos instrumentales. Agrupados por criterios cromticos, los sonidos instrumentales aparecen junto a diversas fuentes acsticas, ilustrando un ethos de bsqueda compartida e inclinado a las formas horizontales.

An electro-acoustic reflection encompassing the territory between acoustic performance and abstract sound. Compositional dialogues between the apparently disconnected layers through harmonic overtones and processed instrumental sources feature a tendency towards pedal textures constantly disrupted by outbursts of noise.

Una reflexin electroacstica que abarca el territorio entre la ejecucin acstica y el sonido abstracto. Dilogos compositivos de unas capas aparentemente inconexas mediante parciales armnicos y fuentes instrumentales procesadas que ilustran una tendencia hacia texturas pedal constantemente interrumpidas por explosiones de ruido.
