Psicklops (said like “cyclops”) is sort of like the audiozines fm4tb
was
putting out- broad audio textures, found sounds- scripted elements…
but this I really think its a film. You watch it in the dark with
your eyes
closed. Which is what people will be doing at the “screenings.”
Content wise it revolves around the ideas of interrogation and some
of the
characters in Kafka’s “The Trial.” There is some hypnosis, some
humor…

here is a quote:
“Where bands like Negativland and Tape Beatles who pioneered this
form had a more absurdist, chaotic quality this release although
often humorous is more serious. Indeed it talks about the ruling of
the USA by a totalitarian regime that dictates by fear instilled in
the population, facilitating the aims of corporate interests…It’s
a starkly disturbing exposition of a sinister evolution in society. ”
hope to see you there.
The screenings have been extendended indefinitely- so if you want to
do one get in touch.
