Max/MSP 3 (level 3) . IRCAM
Prerequisite: Basic knowledge of Max/MSP (basic tutorials 1 to 22, Data tutorials 1 to 5, MIDI tutorials 1 to 5, and MSP tutorials 1 to 18) or successful completion of Max/MSP (level 2).
Following a thorough look into delay lines and filters, participants will learn to use audio analyses for interactive patches. This course will also cover methods for optimizing patches (organization of presets, CPU management).
Upon completion of levels 1, 2, and 3 of this training program, participants will have a complete view of the possibilities available to them with Max/MSP. Participants will understand the basic techniques of signal processing and sound synthesis. Participants will also be able to create simple interactive patches themselves for real-time applications.

Didactic Material and Assessments
Hands-on work sessions take place on individual workstations (iMac, MIDI keyboard, headphones). Instructors use a workstation connected to a video projector and a quadraphonic sound system. Either paper or electronic teaching aids will be available for students.
