Panorama Altötting
Permanent 16-Channel soundinstallation for a Panoramic Painting by Moritz Fehr.

Altötting has been the spiritual center of Bavaria and the most significant place of pilgrimage in Germany in veneration of Virgin Mary. The small city hosts the monumental cyclorama “Jerusalem Panorama” painted in 1903 by Gebhard Fugel, a 20th century doyen of biblical artwork. This classic panorama is Germany’s sole historic large-scale panorama (approximately 12,917 sq ft / 95 x 12meter ). In close cooperation with Jerusalem Panorama of the Crucifixion of Christ, Altötting, Germany, the soundartist Moritz Fehr has composed and build a permanent multichannel sound-installation, with technical support and additional audio-production by Peter Prautzsch.
