Max/MSP (level 2) First applications with DSP

Prerequisite: Knowledge of Max/MIDI (basic tutorials 1 to 22, Data tutorials 1 to 5, MIDI tutorials 1 to 5 in Max 5) or successful completion of the Max/MIDI (level 1) course.
During this second level, participants begin to use audio in their patches via sound files (from a hard drive or memory). An introduction to sound processing and synthesis lets participants acquire the tools to construct a simple patch for live music themselves.
Upon completion of levels 1, 2, and 3 of this training program, participants will have a complete view of the possibilities available to them with Max/MSP. Participants will understand the basic techniques of signal processing and sound synthesis. Participants will also be able to create simple interactive patches themselves for real-time applications.
