Assemblage: A Found Poem November 7th 2009

In partnership with Tracy Hamon, a poet and writer from Regina, SK we are planning a collaborative concert that reacts against perceptions of post-post modernism by reaching back to modernist roots for inspiration.
Introducing Assemblage: A Found Poem.
Date: Saturday, November 7, 2009
Time: 7:00pm – 10:30pm
Location: The Royal Canadian Legion – Lancaster Room
Street: 1820 Cornwall Street
City/Town: Regina, SK
This concert features performances by local electronic audio artists and poets alongside selected work by international audio artists. The cooperative concert event offers a montage of text, sound and image as an active exchange of ideas. The “found poem” is a production that combines live performances with pre-recorded pieces/text/voice, offering a perspective into the creative process through multiple mediums.
Thanks to the support of the Saskatchewan Arts Board, holophon.ca’s second season in 2009 will be presenting four concert events in Saskatchewan that engage with diverse communities through guest curation, organizing presentations that celebrate sound as an engaging artform.
Advance tickets are $7 and are available at Bach and Beyond, Mysteria, UofR Music Department, and Vintage Vinyl.
