This sound art event is the coming together of The Quiet Club (Mick O’Shea and Danny Mc Carthy) and the Kelly/Stalling duo arises from a recent concert the four did together at the Goethe Institute Dublin for the launch of The Quiet Club’s CD “TESLA” after which it was decided that it was worth exploring the combination further. The Crawford Gallery came on board and offered its Sculpture Gallery as a venue for the concert. This unique space with its natural acoustics and antique sculptures promises one of the most interesting sound and visual events of the year. Lasting four hours the audience are free to come, go or stay as they please
A recording of the Crawford Gallery event/concert will be issued on CD on the Farpoint Recording label later in the year. The concert kicks off the first AVANT Festival which runs for the week and culminates in the now infamous Sonic Vigil which takes place in St Fin Barres Cathedral on Sat 11 TH July from 12pm to 6 pm.
