A spring LEM at the Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona: a sample of the current sound creation in Portugal: improvisation, electronics and experimentation of artists close to the Portuguese association Granular

Ulrich Mitzlaff / Miguel Mira (Lisboa): cellos
The association between these two cellists leads to an unpredictable proposal where the musical improvisation travels, with the same fluidity, from the abstraction and the creation of textures to the construction of singular rhythmic and melodic buildings. A daring exercise of sound exploration built from the clearest instrumental simplicity.
Ulrich Mitzlaff, German but established in Lisboa, has forged prolific alliances with some of the most relevant names of the Portuguese musical experimentation, from Carlos Zíngaro to Nuno Rebelo with also Carlos Santos or Carlos Bechegas. Miguel Mira, by his side, has crossed almost all the footpaths into the field of the jazz, from fusion to improvisation, with projects as Motion Trio or Rive Gauche.
