She was brought up near Snowdonia North Wales. Has worked with electronic music since being a teenager. Writes highly technological music, which is influenced by dramatic landscapes, human voice, song and the fallibility of human nature. She lives and works in North London, holds an academic post in Electronic Sound and Music Culture at the University of East London. Her work is available from Sound and Music, Entr’acte records and NMC recordings. She is an internationally profiled composer and is known for working at the extremes of the sound spectrum; glitch, micro-sound and human voice.
