Started out in 2002 with field recordings on Iceland under the name of “rawaudio”. First album was called “Island – Modulationen” 2002 in collaboration with Lasse-Mark Riek who cared for mixings & modulations; second was “One Story Told” 2003, featuring an adventurous story about an unsuccessful fishing tour and the killing of a sheep (plus some other tracks). “Finnish Snowwalks and Dances”, 2005, deals with the poetic universe of snow music. It contains traditional and modern recordings of “lumimusikki”. In 2006 I ventured into the realm of “muzak” and chose my own interpretation of it. “Music for Bathrooms and Toilets”, 2006, has been exclusively designed for the use in “wet rooms”.
Next release: “Musiques d’Orion” (vinyl), 2011, with entr’acte.uk. rawaudio uses her own field recordings, occasionally snippets from the internet and organizes her projects willingly together with those more technically gifted (or equipped).
