“ZeitRaum” (TimeSpace) is an interactive art installation the Ars Electronica Futurelab designed for the new terminal at Vienna International Airport. At the core of this work is an imaginary space, one at the interface of all the world’s airports. Within its confines, cultures, languages and nations segue into one another like adjacent time zones.

“ZeitRaum” consists of multiple installations that interpret arriving and departing air traffic at Vienna International Airport in real time. The works were developed and designed by Ars Electronica Futurelab staffers in cooperation with international artists including Jussi Ängeslevä, Yugo Nakamura and Rupert Huber.
