SONIC FABRIC is a textile woven from cassette tape recorded with intricate collages of sound. From now until August 30, 2011 sound/conceptual artist Alyce Santoro is accepting commissions to produce small editions of SONIC FABRIC recorded with custom collages, music, or sounds made by fellow artists, musicians, and designers. Please see her project page at USA Projects for details. All funds raised thru this initiative will go toward the completion of a commission to produce a site-specific edition of SONIC FABRIC for the City of Culture of Galicia in Santiago de Compostella, Spain this December.
