In Sound Spaces of Art, the aspect of space in the combination of visual art and music stands in the foreground for the first time. Sound in space and space in sound are the leitmotifs of this publication. It shows current sound art works by renowned personalities of this art form as well as by up and coming talents. Outstanding examples, never published before, are thereby set in relationship to works of sound art by Christina Kubisch, Bill Fontana, Paul DeMarinis, Bernhard Leitner and Miki Yui that are regarded as milestones. This new view enables the reader without specialized knowledge of the various directions to understand this rising form of art and its sensual potential.
